      Aim: How did abolition effect slavery and the future of America?


      Materials: Notebooks, Writing utensil, Laptop, and Folder.


Objectives:


    * Writing-Produce

      clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and

      style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience. Write Routinely

      over extended time frames( times for thinking, reflecting, and making

      connections) and shorter time frames about your knowledge of the task

      at hand.

    * Speaking

      and Listening- Propel conversations by posing and responding to

      questions that probe reasoning and evidence; ensure a hearing for a

      full range of positions on a topic or issue; clarify, verify, or

      challenge ideas and conclusions; and promote divergent and creative

      perspectives.

    * Reading-Integrate

      and evaluate multiple sources of information presented in different

      media or formats (e.g., visually, quantitatively) as well as in words

      in order to address a question

      Cooperative Learning: Describe in one or two sentences what you see on the images


      Hw: If

      you were an Abolitionist during the slavery time period. What method

      will you use to help the slaves escape? Write a paragraph explaining

      how you will help them?
